Chris Barnet has been actively financing and investing in real estate since 2003.
As Founder and Managing Member of Farmhouse Developer, Chris oversees all acquisitions for the firm. He has financed and been part of the acquisition, construction, and disposition of over 15 billion dollars worth of real estate.
Prior to forming Farmhouse Developer, Chris worked as a Managing Director with Jon Estreich at Estreich and Company for 16 years leading the financing for multi generational real estate families, real estate funds and REITS.
Nationwide, Chris has financed every conceivable asset-type from ground-up construction, rehab projects, malls, strip centers, office buildings, and multi-family properties, to industrial buildings and land, hospitality/resort properties, and health-related facilities.
Chris graduated from Fairfield University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in Science in Finance and Marketing and attended New York Universities Masters in Real Estate Program in 2005.
He is an active triathlete, skier, golfer, and ultra marathon professional. In 2005, Chris founded For the Love of George after his grandfather George R Irvin who passed away from Alzheimer’s. The charity is actively involved in raising money for the loved ones affected by the disease. Chris is currently running the toughest ultra marathons on the planet to benefit cancer & autism.
Chris and his beautiful wife Lauren have 3 children together, Jack (8), Taylor (6), and Georgia (8 months).
